ABOUT ME
I'm a UK model horse painter and customiser, based in North East England, who has been involved in the hobby for - wow - TWO decades now??
As a regular rider who loved horses, and already enjoyed painting wargames figures and model aircraft, I was over the moon when I came across the model horse hobby!
Since then, I've built up my own collection of models to exhibit at live shows - mostly smaller scale artist edition resin and commercially produced plastic models. And I've been pretty much obsessed with making custom models as realistic and eye-catching as possible. I use various different materials and techniques. including hand-painted acrylic paints, airbrushed acrylics, pastels, and coloured or white pencils, to get realistic and smooth effects to suit the colour and pattern of each piece.
SALES
I'm not currently taking commissions or offering new pieces for sale, but will sell some of my own collection from time to time, and offer a couple of mini customs a year as donations to UK live shows. See my Facebook page for the latest information
I specialise in Stablemate, Micro Mini and LittleBit scale models, but will occasionally paint something bigger.
MODEL SHOWING
My work regularly wins or places highly at UK live shows, including Top Ten places at the British Model Equine Championships show (BMECS). I was a member of the BMECS organising team from 2017 until the end of 2021. To find out more about BMECS visit their website here
